Chapter 98: Find her
Chapter 98: Find her
Ella wakes up from her dream.
In the dream just now, she dreamed of her happy days with David before. A stream of tears flowed from her eyes.
Ella got out of bed, walked over to the apartment door, and opened it. There was blood on the doorknob. She must be David's blood. She couldn't help but worry and fidget. Has he gone home, and bandaged the wound on his arm?
Ella wasn't mad at David's mother. She also just wants her son to have a good life. So she forced Ella to leave him.
Last night, she was thinking and she decided to return to her home in Z town. Go somewhere else to avoid meeting David, here, maybe he will come to find her. Ella promises Mrs. Emma that she is leaving town X. She hopes David will not come to town Z to find her.
How long does it take to forget someone? A week, a month, or a year? Or maybe this whole life. Ella hopes that she will soon forget about David so that she can continue with her present solitary life. One pain is more than enough, if chosen again, Ella will still decide to choose David. Their time together was very short. After going through hardships, in the end, she still had to choose to break up. Just thinking about it made her feel sad. So Ella fell in love with him too much.
Suzy helped her book train tickets, and in the afternoon of the same day, she arrived at the platform. Ella wanted to go so fast to avoid seeing David, afraid he would come looking for her and she wouldn't be able to face him again.
It happened so suddenly that she still can't believe it, a few days ago, they spent their Valentine's together happily, but, now, they've broken up.
Tomorrow.
David woke up, he felt pain all over his body. He sat up, leaned back against the edge of the bed, and put his hand on his forehead. David saw the wound on his hand, which reminded him of Ella. Perhaps her figure was etched into his heart.
After recovering, David goes to the apartment to find Ella. But, the door is closed. He called her cell phone, but she didn't answer the call. He searched for her everywhere, but in the end, still couldn't find Ella.
David pulled out his phone and called his assistant. "Find Ella, by all means."
Without waiting for the person on the other end of the line to answer, he turned off the phone. That whole day, he didn't focus on work, waiting for Key's news.
Near the afternoon, Key opened the door to his office. Key respectfully bowed to him and announced. "I've searched many places but still don't know where Ella is."
"Keep looking until you find her," David instructs his assistant.
Key nodded and opened the door outside, continuing to look for Ella. After Key left, David sat down on the sofa, grimacing, holding his head, muttering incessantly. "Ella... Ella..."
Fear rose in his heart as if his heart was about to break. He is very afraid of losing her. This feeling is very uncomfortable, it does not subside, but the pain increases.
A few weeks later, still no news of Ella, David was almost mad, easily irritated with those around him, even his parents with just a few words of advice were kicked out of the room by him.
During this time, Maria took the opportunity to approach him. "Ella took your mother's money and left. You don't look for her anymore."
Of course, Maria intentionally lied to make Ella an evil woman in David's eyes.
"I don't believe, you lie," David shouted.
"If you don't believe it, you can ask your mother. If she loves you, why did she run away while the scandal was going on?"
David was silent, he was so hurt that Ella left without saying a word to him.
Maria continued. "Ella is a greedy woman, she loves you only for money..."
"Stop. I won't allow you to speak ill of my Ella." David interrupted Maria and left.
Unable to convince David, Maria almost went crazy. But, she will give him a little more time, then convince him again.
Meanwhile, Key tells David that Ella may have returned to her hometown. David hastily drove to Z town. He had been to Ella's house once, so it wasn't difficult for him to find her house.
When David reached the gate of Ella's house, she had just come out. Seeing him appear, she was quite shocked. She didn't think he'd come here to find her.
"Why do you come here?" Ella asked in a cold voice.
"How are you?" David answered her with a question.
Ella looked at the man in front of her, not knowing whether to be happy or sad. "I'm fine thank you."
After answering him, Ella was about to turn around and go inside when she heard David's voice. "Ella, wait. Let's talk for a bit."
"We are the end."
"No. We are not finished yet. You don't take my mother's money, do you?" David asked.
Ella was silent. Her attitude made David smile. "I know that you are not an evil, greedy woman. Don't let the scandal cause our love to fall into a deadlock. We are not wrong, love is not to blame, why should you be afraid?"
"My world and your world are not the same. Come back to your life." Finishing her words, Ella entered the house. Choking tears fell. Their being together only makes the public even more hostile, especially when their secret is revealed.
Ella thought she would forget David but when she saw him again, her heart beat fast but the feeling was also very bitter, she wanted to hug him tightly but couldn't. A stream of hot water rolled down her cheek, and she gently wiped it away.
Instinctively, she put her hand on her heart, her heartbeat was fast but she also felt very cold, and empty.
"I will not return. I will stay here until you open the door to meet me." David said loudly, watching the small back disappear behind the door. He felt like he was losing something and couldn't help but reach out and hold it.
During meal time.
Mr. Stephen told Ella. "You don't give David a chance? I found him to be quite sincere, he stood outside the door for four hours."
Ella tilted her head, looking out the window. David was still standing outside.
"Just leave it alone. He can't wait, he's going back to the city."
"I think he won't come back without seeing you. Before I didn't like David but now, seeing him waiting for you for four hours, I think this is a good man. You must not miss it, or you will regret it later." Mr. Stephen advised his daughter.
"How can we live happily when the media is all criticizing us, saying that I married him just for the money? I don't want David's honor affected by me." Ella sighed.
"Don't worry about it. Live for you, for your love." Mr. Stephen narrowed his eyes at Ella.
