Accidentally Slept With The Ruthless Billionaire

Chapter 422: I’m Flattered

Chapter 422: I’m Flattered

“Hey, it’s Brandon!”

A voice called out, and everyone turned to the doors as Brandon walked in. The crowd buzzed with excitement, thrilled by Brandon’s fame as a top singer.

Brandon waved cheerfully at the audience before sitting next to Nicolas as cheers and eager stares filled the room.

“Wow, Brandon’s here too? What great luck!”

“The music maestro and Best Actor together—it’s amazing! Lucky us!”

“I’d totally spill the beans online if I hadn’t signed that non-disclosure agreement!”

“Tonight’s competition is going to be epic! I can’t wait!”

Backstage, Blake wore a sharp white suit with a shiny sapphire brooch on his chest. His fringe gently rested on his forehead, giving him a princely look.

The new outfits looked great and felt oddly familiar to Bianca, sparking her curiosity.

She stopped a staff member and quickly asked, “Who’s behind these cool outfits?”

With a grin, the staff member replied, “Can’t spill the beans yet. It’s a surprise!”

Bianca was so curious. The mystery behind the sponsor added excitement to the event, and she patiently awaited the revelation.

Soon, the staff began clearing the backstage, and the agents were directed to the auditorium.

For someone like Blake, the staff would guide him to his spot on the stage.

Bianca asked, “You ready for this, Blake?”

“No worries; I’ve got this,” Blake reassured Bianca with a warm smile, just like their first meeting.

Bianca felt relief as she raised her phone. “Just call me if you need anything. Knock ’em dead up there. I’ll be your biggest fan offstage.”

“Gotcha,” Blake replied, his smile soft and reassuring.

“Let’s go, Bianc,” Diana urged her, prompting Bianca to follow her into the auditorium.

Bianca and Diana walked to their seats.

Blake’s eyes lingered on Bianca as she walked away, his expression turning serious with his lips pressed tightly together.

Today’s performance wasn’t just for him; it was also about showing Bianca his strength.

Inside the auditorium, Bianca’s eyes widened as she took in the impressive surroundings and settled into her seat.

Seated beside her was a man full of confidence and charm—it was Dave.

Bianca’s heart skipped a beat as she looked around, realizing there were no more empty seats.

Diana leaned over and whispered, “Hey, Bianc, isn’t that your ex? What’s he doing here instead of in the VIP section? He’s the big boss at Phoenix Alliance Group, right?”

Questions swirled in Bianca’s mind. Why was he here, sitting next to her? Hadn’t they ended things on good terms? What did he want?

Bianca nervously bit her lip and stole a glance at Dave. She kept reminding herself to stay calm.

Trying to stay composed, she turned to Diana and said, “Let’s just grab our seats and forget about it.”

Diana’s lips twisted instantly as she shot a glare at Dave.

Diana is really focused on figuring out how to make him pay for messing with her friend. She’s not going to let it go easily.

As Bianca approached Dave’s seat, she watched him quietly. His eyes were fixed ahead, and he seemed unaware of her presence.

Suppressing any discomfort, she kept her composure.

Since their connection had faded, acting indifferent felt like the safest choice.

Taking a deep breath, Bianca turned to sit down but was bumped by a passing staff member. “Whoops, sorry!”

The sudden collision caught her off guard, and she stumbled toward Dave.

Before Bianca could stand firmly, she found herself trapped in his arms as he hugged her tightly, too.

Wide-eyed, Diana cringed, her hand instinctively covering her face.

It must have been too embarrassing for her friend.

Dave’s familiar scent surrounded Bianca, making her feel warm. Her heart raced against his chest, leaving her momentarily stunned.

When she looked into his eyes, she felt dizzy.

“Miss Scott, you always find your way back to my arms. I’m flattered,” Dave said with a hint of amusement in his voice.

“Oh, well, I didn’t...” Bianca blushed inwardly as her words came out awkwardly.

Dave’s intense stare softened as he looked at her, and a faint smile appeared on his lips.

There was a tenderness in his eyes that used to enchant Bianca.

Quickly turning away, she couldn’t bear to stare at him longer. She was scared she would fall for him again.

Just as Dave reached out to touch Bianca’s arm, Diana stepped in, pulling her away from him.

“What do you want now? Maybe you should keep your hands to yourself!” Diana’s eyes flashed with anger as she faced Dave.

Dave straightened his clothes, smoothing out the wrinkles slowly.

He talked to Diana but kept his eyes on Bianca, a small smile on his face. “Shouldn’t I be the one saying that?” he said softly.

“Are you serious? Someone bumped into her!” Diana snapped angrily, making her forget who Dave was.

Bianca quickly grabbed Diana’s arm and helped her to return to her seat.

Only then did Diana realize she was speaking to the CEO of the Phoenix Alliance Group.

She felt a wave of fear and went silent.

Bianca took a deep breath and looked at Dave, who was now sitting in his seat. She tried to calm herself before speaking softly. “Mr. Evans, I’m sorry if I offended you. I hope you don’t hold it against me.”

Dave studied her for a moment before looking forward and replying calmly, “I didn’t really take it to heart.”

Bianca pressed her lips together and took her seat, but she couldn’t help but glance at him.

Dave’s appearance and attitude were the same, but now he seemed distant and unreachable.

It felt like an unbridgeable gap had formed between them.

Bianca’s heart tightened with sudden pain. She tried not to dwell on the past or think about others around her, but her thoughts wouldn’t stop.

Memories flashed in her mind, creating a storm of chaos that left her restless.

In contrast, Dave seemed completely indifferent. He stayed detached and cold, unaffected by everything around him.

It felt as though she was the only one carrying the pain.

Bianca tightened her fingers into a fist.

Sitting next to Dave triggered a deep sadness within her, a longing to cry for no reason.

Still, she promised herself she would never cry for him again.

When the lights at the filming site dimmed, the stage lights brightened, signaling the start of the shoot.
