Getting away with the Alpha's Pup

Chapter 102

Chapter 102

Lucy

“This was Hugo's room,” I said to Fenrys.

She was taking control over my body now. I'd never felt this powerful before.

Before I regained consciousness, Fenrys had fulfilled part of her promises. And that included gutting Hugo the traitor.

Walking towards a mirror slowly, I saw Fenrys' power oozing over my aura as I stared at my reflection. A victorious smile drew in my lips.

“Oh, I kinda tipped the Alpha of Starsmoon off about Hugo's death. They could get to us soon. Are you ready for something juicy?” Fenrys sounded excited about what would happen next.

As I nodded in agreement, she snapped her fingers, and we teleported into an abandoned temple.

After I lit up a thousand candles one by one, the whole place glowed before I took myself to sit on the throne.

“If only I knew that I could be this powerful with you inside me, I would have gone to you earlier.” I couldn't help but get stunned by Fenry's power.

“You wouldn't be able to summon me, were it not for your untamable anger and resentment to Cherry, my twin sister Nuu-Chah's special shifter. You called me at the right time, Lucy.”

Fenrys' words were soothing, bringing reasonable senses back to me.

“You sure they'll find us here?”

“Trust me. Nuu-Chah'll guide them to us.” Fenrys couldn't be less confident about her judgement.

“Nuu-Chah must have prejudice against me. How coud she choose Cherry over me as her special shifter?” I fisted my hand, pain lingering in my voice.

“Hush, Lucy. You have me now. Things like this happen. Who would know that my twinsister Nuu-Chah and I were born to be deadly enemies? Just relax. We can win this war." With that, Fenrys cast a spell on me.

"This is my only chance to defeat Nuu-Chah. You don't have any idea how long I have been waiting for this moment.”

Cherry

I walked out of Hugo's room after seeing his dead body lying in a pool of blood.

"Maybe none of this would happen if we took Whitemoon in instead of sending Hugo back here." Dylan kinda blamed himself for this bloodbath here.

“Not a single Whitemoon shifter survived Lucy's brutality."

"She is supposed to be weak. How could she even do all of this when she just had a miscarriage?” I still couldn't believe my eyes or ears.

Then a message from Bert crumbled my world.

“I found Ravi's body in his mother's cabin. There are cursed symbol of Fenrys on the floor.”

“I couldn't believe it! Lucy could be so desperate to go to Fenrys.” Dylan's eyes buldged and then he turned to me suddenly.

"Listen, Cherry. Lord Hills isn't a safe place anymore. I need you bring our pups back to Berlin right now!” Dylan's voice sounded extremely serious, brooking no opposition.

“No, I won't flee and leave my mate behind.” I shook my head at him. “I'm sending Fern and Oliver to Berlin with our parents, but I'm staying. I'll fight with you here.”

"All right, if you insist. I'll make sure that you're safe and sound, even if it takes my life." Finally, Dylan gave in.

After getting back to Starsmmon, we went to talk to our family immediately.

“Mommy, I don't want to go back to Berlin if you and Daddy won't be joining us,” Fern whined while clamping her teddy bear in her arms. She was trying to stop me from packing up her stuff.

Taking a pause, I turned to gaze at my anxious pup tenderly. Fern's eyes were piercing beyond me.

“Daddy, please! Join us with mommy on this vacation.. You promised that we will never be apart again.”

Fern's words punched a hole in my heart.

“Litsen, honey. Daddy and mommy will join you in Berlin soon." I tried to keep my voice steady. "So before we arrive, would you like to be a reliable tour guide and show nana and pops around?"

“Sure! I'd be honored! I'm gonna tell them this news!”

Obviously, I sold this excuse to Fern successfully. She bounced out of her room in excitement, leaving me in a daze. But it was better this way.

“I've told our parents about our plan. They'll make it look like they're on vacation so that Fern won't get suspicious.” Dylan patted on my shoulders gently.

“We can do this. We'll do just fine, right?” I asked, my voice reeking of fear and worry.

Dylan nodded, inching towards me and resting our foreheads with each other.

Soon, everyone got packed up, ready for departure.

Kissing Oliver in Dylan's arms, I saw my little boy cooing, which pinned a smile on my lips.

“So we'll see you in Berlin after a week?” Heather asked while taking Oliver over from Dylan.

“Cherry and I'll be there before you know it.” Dylan had taken this question while I was still struggling for an answer.

Waving goodbye giggly, Fern even threw a flying kiss at Dylan and me as their car drove away.

Dylan wrapped his arm around my shoulder as we saw them off.

“Shall we send the elderly shifters and pups in Starsmoon to Bill's territory for now?" Withdrawing my gaze from the disappearing car, I turned to Dylan.

Our eyes met, and it felt like I needed to explain more.

“Don't take me wrong. I didn't mean to question your capability to protect our shifters as their Alpha. It's just that tonight is a do-or-die for us. We'll be busy defending our territory, and we can focus better on the battle if—”

My eyes bulged out of shock as Dylan shut me up with a quick kiss.

“That's a great idea. I'd like that. This is not about me. It's about this pack. I'm not gonna let my ego get the best of me.”
