Chapter 105. A PIECE OF EVIDENCE

Chapter 105. A PIECE OF EVIDENCE

ADRIAN CASTILLO

Where could Jessica have gone to? She was with me not too long in the surveillance room but now she was gone. I walked out of the room and saw her talking on the phone.

I walked closer to her.

"Hey," I tapped on her shoulder and she got startled because of it.

"Oh my goodness!" She placed her palm on her chest trying to calm her beating her before ending her call.

"You scared me. Why did you have to tap me? I thought someone was about to kidnap me," she said.

"I'm sorry, I didn't know the entire situation was making you scared," I told her, feeling bad for tapping her.

"But why are you scared thought! You didn't offend anyone," I reminded her.

"Did Sophia offend anyone? The only person she's not on good terms with is me and guess what?" She remarked.

"Are you scared that you might be kidnapped too?" I asked her and she let out a small laugh.

"You never know. Anything could happen. The entire situation is scary as it is," she replied.

"Who were you talking to?" I asked.

"Oh... it's someone. A friend. Not a close friend," she stuttered.

I sighed. "Anyways I'm going to the police station now. I already got what it is that I came for," I informed her.

"Oh. The faces of the men. That's a good one. At least we know who took her and we will just have to find out where it is that they are so that we can rescue her. I just hope she's fine and also the baby," she said.

We walked out of the building.

"I just want to know why they haven't contacted me yet. I mean when you kidnap people, you have a reason but I do not know what's happening and why they have decided to kidnap her."

No matter how hard I thought about it, I didn't come up with anything.

I took in a deep breath and exhaled before getting into the car.

"Do not worry Adrian. We will see her. She will be back to you soon," she assured me.

I did find comfort in her words. I was glad she was doing this with me even when it wasn't necessary.

We arrived at the police station and I go into the office of the detective in charge.

"Mr. Castillo, I wasn't expecting you to come here. I was planning to go to you," the detective said when he saw e.

I took a seat opposite him.

"I found a piece of evidence. I know who took my wife. I mean I have a clear picture of the man in the dark now. With this, we should be able to get some information about them and know where it is we will find the," I explained to him.

I handed the images to him. He told them out from the folder and checked them. He checked to see if it matches the one on his computer.

"It does seem like the man her looks like the man in the dark with his hands covering my wife's nose.

"So who are the other men? His accomplice?" He asked and I nodded my head.

"What if these men are working for someone? One thing is certain though, we will get the man or woman who is behind the kidnap of your wife once we get these men. My men and I will begin the investigation and as soon as we have the necessary details and everything about these men, we will contact you," the detective informed me.

"I trust you and I hope you won't fail me. I look forward to hearing from you soon," I told her before checking his hands.

"I hope you find them, detective. She's pregnant and I cannot imagine how tough it must be for her right now," Jessica said.

"I will do my best to bring her back to you in safe hands," the detective assured me before I left his office.

I do hope that he'd find out what is needed immediately so that we can track the men and get my wife. I miss her so much and it's driving me crazy. I have barely slept too.

"You should try and get something to eat before you sleep. It's past eleven," Jessica reminded me.

I haven't eaten since the disappearance of Sophia and I don't have the appetite to eat. How could I eat knowing well that my wife might not have eaten?

It's driving me crazy not being able to hear her voice or know what it is that she was going through.

"Adrian," Jessica called in a stern tone.

"You will have to eat or I won't let you leave. Do you think Sophia will be happy right now? I mean I understand that you are worried but you have to eat to have strength. Only then can you find your wife. If you do not have the strength, how can you continue this case? Think not Sophia and wag because you need strength to keep going," she reprimanded.

She does have a point. "But I am not hungry," I told her.

"That's not going to work with me. I do not care if you are hungry or not but one thing is certain, you will have to eat. I mean we already have the faces of the men and that should be an encouragement to you," she expatiate.

I sighed. "Okay. I will eat but do not complain if I do not eat more than a few spoons," I warned her.

"That's not my concern. As long as you eat, that's what matters. You need the strength to keep pushing. Do not think of yourself but think of Sophia and your unborn baby," she reminded me and I sighed.

I pinched the bridge of my nose with my eyes closed. "Fine," I said before entering the car. Jessica entered and I drove to a nearby restaurant.
