Married to the heartless Billionaire

Chapter 63. FEELING RELIEVED

Chapter 63. FEELING RELIEVED

SOPHIA CASTILLO

"Are you listening to me?" I snapped out of my thoughts when I heard Annabella's voice.

We were currently at a restaurant close to our hostel getting food to eat.

"I'm sorry. What did you say?" I asked her.

"I see you barely listened," she sighed.

"Is it about your husband? Have you both not settled yet?" She asked me and I sighed.

I hope we'll settle soon. He said he'd call me but I ended up not hearing from him throughout yesterday and today I've been expecting to hear from him but I haven't.

I texted him last night before I slept but got no reply from him. I would have excused his actions if we were on good terms and all of this is happening but now that it's happening, all I can say is that he is intentionally ignoring me.

Adrian doesn't go a day without texting me and it wouldn't cost him a second to check my messages.

I get he is disappointed that I lied to him but now he was taking things too far and all I wanted to do was cry. I just hate myself for crying too much.

"I don't want to talk about it. What did you say to me?" I asked her.

"Seriously Sophia? You do not want to talk about it but you keep thinking about it. I have to say this is partly my fault. Maybe I shouldn't have invited you out, maybe this wouldn't have happened and that's why the more you keep acting this way, the more bothered I am," she said I couldn't help but feel bad for making her feel that way.

"Can we not talk about him, please?" I pleaded and she nodded her head.

"So what were you talking about?" I asked.

"I'm traveling to California for a shoot and I will be back the day after," she said.

"That's very nice. So till next tomorrow?" I asked wanting to confirm and she nodded her head.

"Okay then," I told her.

After eating lunch, we went back to our hostel. All I wanted to do was sleep but my phone rang that moment and my face lit up when I saw the LOML display on my phone screen.

I inhaled and exhaled sharply before answering the call.

"Hi baby girl," I heard him say and my heart fluttered.

I've missed his voice. It felt like I haven't heard in ages when I heard them yesterday morning. The difference was my husband was back and not the angry version of him.

I was a little angry at him for his attitude towards me but after he called me baby girl, that anger flew through the window.

"Hey," I said, sounding breathy. I don't know how to act to what to say.

"I'm sorry I didn't reply to your text on time and in sorry that I didn't call you. I had an impromptu meeting with an investor and left as early as six in the morning because he was flying by eight in the morning. I'm stressed right now but I wanted to hear your voice, how have you been?" He asked.

"Oh, I see," I muttered.

I thought he had fallen out of love with me.

"What's wrong? You seem down? Did something happen to you?" He asked, sounding worried and I sobbed.

How do I tell him that he is the reason why I am crying. I didn't hear from him and so I thought he must have fallen out of love.

"What's wrong baby, talk to me," he insisted.

"I thought you were still angry with me and that was why you didn't call me," I told him sobbing.

"I'm so sorry for making you feel that way. I got over it yesterday and I'm sorry for taking so long to talk to you. I'm sorry," he said.

"You didn't fall out of love did you?" I asked.

"Wait what? What do you mean by that? Fall out of love? Is that even possible? Why would you think so? Is that why you are crying?" He asked.

"Yes. I thought you might have. I'm so sorry for lying to you and I promise that I won't do it again," I said to him and I heard him sigh on the phone.

"I was hurt, Sophia. You could have told me. You are in your early twenties so I do not expect you to not want to have a life for yourself. I mean I was once twenty so I get that you want to go out and have fun but being honest with me isn't too much to ask and that bastard, for you recognize him?" He asked me.

"The guy who answered my phone?" I asked.

"Yes," he replied.

"My roommate knows him. Why are you asking?" I asked him inquisitively.

"I would like to deal with him. How dare he hit on my woman and answer her phone call. If I was in the State when all that happened, you would have seen me in your school," he said and I chuckled lightly.

"Really? Wow. You want to blow your cover," I told him.

"I do not know what I'm covering for but the truth remains that I am only doing all of this for you. It doesn't change the fact that you are my wife. I'm sorry for making you feel that way and I love you with my life. I would never fall out of love with you and that's not possible no matter how I think out it," he told me.

"Thanks so much. I love you and I promise to tell you everything from now on. No more lies baby," I said.

"No more lies. I will be coming back soon. If I can round off everything then I'd be back soon. I've missed you so much," he sighed.

"I've missed you too. I love you."

"I love you too and I will call you back later. Take care sweetheart."

I ended the call feeling relief.
