Rune didn't choose randomly. In the DC Universe, Athena is almost the only god besides Vulcan who is willing to maintain a certain degree of goodwill towards humanity.

Although this act of kindness was not much, Athena already stood out from the crowd, considering the general arrogance of the Greek gods.

In fact, Vulcan was much friendlier to humans than Athena was; he was willing to take in the men born to the Amazons and have them work for him. It's just that he was rather ugly; he looked more like an ape than a human.

As the great hero who quelled the internal strife, Rune was naturally allowed to stay. He slowly savored the delicious food at the banquet, but refused Dionysus's offer of wine, citing that mages' perception and control of magic would be weakened after drinking.

When the banquet ended, Athena came to Rune's door without him even having to look for her. The goddess affectionately took Rune's arm, allowing the mage to clearly feel her softness.

"Would you like to come with me to look for it?"

"Vulcan?" Rune withdrew his arm, pretending not to understand the new god-king's implication. He had already been harassed by the nymphs serving the food at the luncheon; these gods were simply too open.

Athena understood what Rune meant, but she didn't show any displeasure. Instead, she skillfully tidied her hair and said, "Of course, Vulcan is the most skilled craftsman in our universe. You will definitely like his work."

Rune agreed with her point of view.

Hephaestus's Vulcan sword for Wonder Woman was capable of slicing through subatomic particles; its sharpness was beyond imagination. His Deathstroke sword, besides being incredibly sharp, could also change shape at Will. There's no doubt he was the greatest craftsman in DC.

Perhaps Stark could have a chat with this craftsman and learn from him, after all, the former was a legendary mechanic who once hammered out a mechanical armor from a pile of scrap metal in a cave.

On the way, Athena also discussed with Rune the impact of the deaths of the three main gods—which was really just her way of playing the victim.

Apollo and Ares were two of the most powerful gods in Olympus, while Hermes possessed abilities of immense strategic value. Their deaths caused a precipitous decline in the high-end combat power of the entire Olympian pantheon, not even considering the demigods and mythical creatures who perished!

Therefore, the goddess of wisdom realized that Olympus was at its weakest point in thousands of years, and it was hard to say whether even the kind grandmother could defeat Darkseid and Steppenwolf.

On the other side of the gate is a small island with a volcano that billows thick smoke and flashes of fire from time to time.

Noticing the surprise on the sorcerer's face, Athena smiled and explained, "Hephaestus isn't a god who likes to work behind closed doors. He's always been watching over the development of humankind. The televisions in every god's room on Mount Olympus were installed by Hephaestus's men."

"Yes, Athena, I also have a satellite in the sky!"

A man wearing only an apron, with a face like a monkey, limped out. His mouth was full of sharp teeth, his eyes gleamed red, and his elbows and hands were like semi-solidified lava. The sweltering air seemed to rush towards him.

Athena didn't care about the other person's face at all. She took the initiative to hug the god of fire and whispered a few words to him. The ugly god nodded and then looked at Rune.

"Thank you very much for your help to Olympus," he awkwardly tried to bow, but Rune immediately helped him up. The god of fire was not very bright and wanted to continue bowing, but found that he could not budge Rune's arm with his own strength.

The ugly god blinked. Didn't Athena say he was a mage? How come he's so strong?

Before Vulcan could continue thinking, Rune took out a delicate little lighter from his hand. It gleamed with a bright silver light and immediately attracted Hephaestus's attention.

He craned his neck, peering at the artifact almost up close, his expression shifting constantly. Sometimes he frowned, sometimes he smiled, sometimes he was surprised, but finally, upon seeing the obvious gap, his expression turned to disappointment.

Athena tried to stop the god of fire from his audacious act, but was stopped by Rune waving his hand.

That's right, this lighter is a powerful artifact from the Marvel Universe, once used as the ultimate eraser against Galactus. If Rune were to compile a list of characters who might be able to repair this artifact, Hephaestus, the god of fire, would certainly be on it.
