He took a deep breath, changed into his bathrobe, and as he stood in front of the mirror adjusting his collar, his fingertips trembled slightly.
"O Lord Jashin, please guide me..." Hidan prayed softly, his fingers nervously stroking the several sets of pajamas spread out in front of him.
On the left is a black lace nightgown, its semi-transparent material faintly visible in the candlelight.
On the right is a deep V-neck cutout design, a bold design that would make any conservative person gasp.
Kakuzu looked up from the thick ledger, his green eyes sweeping over his conflicted companion, and said coldly, "Choose the most expensive one, so you can pay for it if you break it."
"Hey! This is a matter of faith! How can you measure it with money!" Hidan whirled around, his silver hair tracing an arc in the air. "Besides, this is all to leave a lasting impression on Lord Jashin!"
Kakuzu's gaze returned to the ledger, his fingers fiddling with the abacus beads. "The repair cost for the training ground wall you damaged last week will be deducted from your reward for your next mission."
Hidan's expression instantly fell. He grabbed two nightgowns and held them up in front of him, turning his body left and right in front of his shadow on the wall. "Which one better showcases the sexy charm of a cultist..."
Chapter 130 The King's Game (7)
In the girls' dormitory area, the room of Lin was filled with the faint scent of cherry blossoms. She stood in front of the dressing mirror, her fingers trembling as she held a light pink gauze nightgown.
The nightgown was made of a very thin, almost transparent material, with only delicate embroidery covering the key areas.
"Isn't this a bit too..." Lin's voice was barely audible, her ear tips were so red they looked like they were about to bleed. She had never worn such a daring nightgown before, but the thought of the person she might see tonight made her heart race uncontrollably.
A slight noise came from the next room. Lin curiously peeked out and, through the half-open door, saw Xiao Nan carefully sticking a paper rose on her collarbone while facing the dressing mirror.
The usually reserved Xiao Nan now had a sparkle in her eyes, her fingertips lightly tracing the lifelike white rose, a rare gentle smile playing on her lips.
"Someone even dares to go to a host club, what's there to be afraid of?" Xiao Nan suddenly spoke, as if talking to herself or encouraging herself.
She picked up a bottle of special perfume and gently sprayed it on her neck and wrists, instantly filling the room with the scent of violets.
Lin covered her mouth in surprise; she had never seen Xiao Nan like this before.
Normally cold and aloof, she was now dressed up like a girl on her first date. Lin looked down at the transparent nightgown in her hand and suddenly felt less ashamed.
The male dormitory area to the north presented a different scene. Zhi Shui stood in front of the dressing mirror, his slender fingers unbuttoning the top two buttons of his pajamas, revealing his beautiful collarbone, and then frowning as he carefully buttoned one back up.
"This is too deliberate...this is too conservative..." he muttered to himself, his Sharingan constantly recording the image data from every angle.
As a genius of the Uchiha clan, he was accustomed to solving all problems in the ninja way, including how to unintentionally display his charm.
In the next room, Itachi silently closed "The Psychology of Love," his fingertips gently stroking the spine of the book.
He got up and walked to the mirror, pulling his originally formal collar down another half inch to reveal the faint lines of his collarbone. A hint of hesitation flashed in his dark eyes, but he ultimately maintained the pose.
"I've become too lax," he told himself, but he didn't adjust himself back to his old ways.
"Are you sure this will work?" Yahiko tugged at the collar of his bathrobe, his muscular chest peeking out from the deep V-neck. He paced anxiously in front of the mirror, his orange hair a mess from his constant scratching.
Nagato sat on the edge of the bed, carefully dripping eye drops into the Rinnegan. "According to Orochimaru's data analysis," he said, his voice almost mechanically calm, "humans react most positively to 'appropriately exposed skin' and 'moist eyes' in nighttime environments."
"Orochimaru is researching this too?" Yahiko asked incredulously.
“He studies everything,” Nagato replied expressionlessly, “including the most popular perfume ingredients and—”
The words abruptly stopped, and suddenly a loud "plop" was heard outside the window, as if a heavy object had fallen into the water.
In the pool, Kisame was frantically scooping up a soaking wet silk package.
A rare look of embarrassment graced his shark-like face as he chuckled and held up a pearl-trimmed silk nightgown dripping with water droplets when he noticed the crowd gathered around.
"I accidentally fell in while passing by." His rough voice sounded unusually guilty at that moment.
Deidara was the first to laugh out loud. "Passing by? Hmm? Passing by the fountain in your pajamas? Hmm?" His long golden hair shimmered in the moonlight, clearly indicating that he had also rushed over.
Scorpion crossed his arms, his red hair swaying gently in the night breeze. "Pearl trim...good taste." His tone was ambiguous, neither praising nor sarcastic.
Kisame's ear fins turned slightly red, but he still tried to remain calm. "This is... a mission reward. I just wanted to try it out to see if it fits."
"A mission reward?" Xiao Nan raised an eyebrow. "Which mission rewards a woman's silk nightgown?"
Lin, hiding behind the crowd, couldn't help but mutter to herself, "So Kisame-san is here too..."
When you were startled awake by your alarm clock, the moonlight was streaming through the gaps in the curtains onto your bedding. You rubbed your sleepy eyes, glanced at the time—it was exactly midnight. To prepare for whatever might happen tonight, you made sure to catch up on some sleep.
She got up and walked to the wardrobe, her fingers lingering on a row of pajamas for a moment before finally choosing a pure black robe. The robe was ankle-length and had no decorations except for a thin belt around the waist; it was so simple it was almost ascetic.
You fastened your belt, tidied your long, black hair in front of the mirror, making sure it wasn't messy at all.
"It shouldn't be too exaggerated..." you muttered to yourself.
When you push open the lobby door, you are surprised to find that you are the first one to arrive.
In the spacious room, only a few wall lamps cast a soft light, casting long shadows. Your gaze falls on the low table in the center, where a row of glasses and several jugs of freshly squeezed juice are placed.
"These guys said they were going to play games all night, but they were late..." You muttered to yourself as you poured yourself a glass of iced liquid. The cold liquid slid down your throat, completely waking you up.
You'd just put your juice glass down when footsteps echoed down the hallway. Turning around, you nearly spat out your juice.
Hidan stood in the doorway, revealing his sharply defined face. The black lace robe he wore could hardly be called clothing, as its delicate openwork pattern perfectly showcased his well-defined abdominal and pectoral muscles.
What's even more outrageous is that the hem of her bathrobe only reached mid-thigh, completely exposing her two long and powerful legs.
"Lord Jashin, what do you think of my outfit?" Hidan showed no shame whatsoever, instead spreading his arms and spinning around, allowing you to fully appreciate his "battle robe."
You swallowed the last mouthful of juice with difficulty, your gaze wandering before finally settling on the ceiling. "...Hmm, it's...it's quite shocking."
A surge of heat rushed to your cheeks, and your fingers unconsciously gripped the hem of your robe. Just as you were thinking about how to retaliate, more footsteps saved you.
"Looks like we weren't the first to arrive." Scorpion's voice came from the doorway, his dark red silk robe gleaming luxuriously under the light.
His red hair was loosely draped over his shoulders, making him look less sharp and more languidly sexy than usual.
Next up was Deidara, whose golden robe was so dazzling it was almost impossible to look directly at him.
His long, golden hair complemented his bathrobe perfectly, making him look like Apollo, the sun god, descending to earth. Seeing your gaze, he smiled smugly, "Art is dazzling beauty, um!"
Lin and Xiao Nan walked in hand in hand. Lin's almost transparent pink gauze dress made her keep her head down, while the paper rose on Xiao Nan's collarbone trembled slightly as she walked, emitting a faint floral fragrance.
Shisui and Itachi entered side by side, one of them unbuttoning two buttons, and the other's collar being half an inch lower than usual.
Yahiko's deep-V nightgown showcased his alluring figure, followed by Kisame, whose pearl-trimmed nightgown had dried and gleamed softly under the light.
The shark-faced man tugged uncomfortably at his collar, seemingly unaccustomed to such an elaborate outfit.
You look around and suddenly realize that you are the odd one out. Your usually menacing companions look like models who just stepped out of a fashion magazine, while your simple black bathrobe seems completely out of place.
"It seems that the robes really do limit your...personal hobbies," you commented dryly, eliciting a soft laugh.
When Nagato was the last to walk in, you were almost in despair. He was wearing a dark purple bathrobe with the collar wide open, revealing large areas of pale skin on his chest.
"Looks like everyone's here." Nagato glanced around, her gaze lingering on your conservative attire for a second, a slight smile playing on her lips. "Tanuki's outfit tonight is quite unique."
You feel everyone's eyes are on you, and your ears involuntarily burn. "I thought...it was just a normal game party."
Hidan suddenly burst into laughter, put his arm around your shoulder, and said, "Lord Jashin, in the Akatsuki, there is no such word as 'ordinary'."
Nagato clapped his hands, drawing everyone's attention back. "The first game is Truth or Dare, and it will last for one hour."
He pointed to the bottles and dice that had been placed in the center of the room at some unknown time. "We sit in a circle and select the questioner by rolling the dice. When the bottle stops spinning, whoever it points to must answer the question."
Scorpion elegantly raised one eyebrow. "What if I refuse to answer or lie?"
“Then you must accept the personal punishment of the questioner.” Nagato said, taking out an exquisite mechanical snake from his sleeve. “This is a lie detector provided by Orochimaru, which can prevent lying from happening.”
The mechanical snake gleamed with a cold metallic sheen under the lights, its red eyes scanning everyone as if they were alive. A chill ran down your spine; this thing didn't look like it had any good intentions.
“Sounds interesting, hmm!” Deidara was the first to sit on the mat, patting the spot next to him to signal you to come over.
The group sat in a circle, and Nagato placed the dice in the center. "In the first round, the person with the highest number will ask a question."
The sound of the dice spinning was exceptionally clear in the quiet room.
When it stopped, it showed six points, meaning Hidan won.
"The evil god has blessed me!" Hidan excitedly grabbed the bottle and spun it hard under everyone's gaze. The bottle spun rapidly before finally coming to a slow stop, its mouth pointing directly at you.
Suddenly, you feel a tightness in your throat, and your fingers unconsciously clench the fabric of your bathrobe.
Hidan revealed a dangerous smile. "First question... Lord Jashin! Who among us do you like the most?"
"What kind of question is this!" You suddenly look up. "This...this is not fair!"
“Rules are rules,” Nagato said calmly, pushing the mechanical snake toward you. “If you lie or refuse to answer, you will have to accept Hidan’s punishment.”
The mechanical snake's cold body slid across your wrist. You took a deep breath, your gaze sweeping over everyone present: Hidan's expectant expression, Deidara's slightly forward-leaning posture, Sasori's thoughtful look, Kakuzu and Konan's curious gazes...
"You like them all?"
The mechanical snake's eyes suddenly turned green and emitted a soft "beep" sound.
“She’s telling the truth,” Nagato announced.
“A cunning answer, hmm,” Deidara muttered, his golden robe shimmering as he crossed his arms.
The game continued, and this time the highest number on the dice was Sasori, and the bottle spun and pointed to Deidara.
"How many times have you practiced your outfit for tonight in private?" Scorpion's question surprised everyone.
Deidara's face immediately turned red. "What... what kind of question is this?"
The mechanical snake suddenly hissed warningly, reminding him that he had to answer the truth. The blond artist scratched his head in frustration. "...Twenty-three times, um."
Amidst the uproarious laughter, Deidara, embarrassed and angry, explained, "Art requires perfect presentation! Hmm!"
In the next round, the bottle was pointed at Scorpion, and the questioner was Lin, "Um...of everyone here, who would you most like to kiss?"
The laughter in the room stopped abruptly as soon as the question was posed, and everyone looked at Scorpion, curious about how he would respond.
The scorpion's expression remained unchanged, but the mechanical snake suddenly became active, emitting rapid beeping sounds, indicating an abnormal heart rate.
Scorpion's gaze slowly moved, finally settling on you. He didn't speak, but his burning gaze seemed to tangibly sweep over your thin lips.
The mechanical snake flashed wildly, proving that the silence itself was the answer.
You feel a jolt of electricity run down your spine, and your fingers unconsciously brush against your lips.
"Wow..." Hidan whistled, breaking the almost suffocating silence.
The game became increasingly daring; when Shisui was asked "who he most wanted to train with alone," he unconsciously turned to you.
When Itachi was asked about "the person he had his most recent erotic dream about," the mechanical snake immediately spat out a string of gibberish, showing that Orochimaru's design clearly did not take into account this level of physiological reaction.
You silently rub your forehead, already sensing that tonight's game is probably not going to be so 'simple'.
"Take a half-hour break, then we'll start the second game." Nagato left these words behind and, with a tacit understanding, left the hall with Yahiko, seemingly needing to discuss something.
The moment the truth or dare game ended, almost simultaneously more than a dozen sighs of relief echoed through the hall.
You rubbed your temples, feeling as if you had been slowly roasted over a fire for an hour, with every gaze directed at you carrying a scorching heat.
I got up to go to the balcony for some fresh air, but someone grabbed my robe sleeve.
Deidara, holding the snake-shaped lie detector, pressed on relentlessly, "You wicked woman! Do you even have someone you like? Hmm!" His voice was loud enough for everyone to hear.
"Aren't you annoying?! The game is over!" You glared at him, your cheeks slightly flushed, and turned to leave.
"Hey! You're not feeling guilty, are you? Hmm!" Deidara persisted, his long golden hair brushing against your shoulder as he leaned closer, his azure eyes full of sly smiles.
You gritted your teeth, wishing you could burn his smug face with a powerful fireball.
On the other side, Sasori was coldly putting a dark coat on Hidan. "Put it on," he said in an unquestionable voice, "or I don't mind using chakra threads to 'tidy up' your clothes."
"Hey! This is the battle robe personally selected by the evil god!" Hidan struggled, and the lace robe slipped open even wider in the pulling, revealing a large area of wheat-colored skin.
Sasori's eyes darkened, and his chakra threads instantly wrapped Hidan's coat tightly around his body.
"Say one more word, and I'll sew you into this garment." Sasori's calm threat silenced Hidan, but he still cast a pitiful glance in your direction, unwilling to give up.
You take the opportunity to break free from Deidara and walk quickly to the terrace. You take a few deep breaths to try to calm your racing heart. The events of this night have completely exceeded your expectations.
Chapter 131 The King's Game (8)
Half an hour later, the game started again.
Nagato and Yahiko returned from outside, carrying a deck of cards.
“The second game—King Power.” Nagato’s voice was deep and subtly pleased. “The number of number cards represents the number of players, and one King card will be mixed in.”
"The person who gets the King card can designate any number card to be punished," he said, his gaze sweeping over the crowd, a slight smile playing on his lips.
"The number of people to be punished can be chosen by the user, with a minimum of one person and a maximum of three."
The air in the room seemed to freeze for a second.
