"Remember, do not cause any disturbance." Black Zetsu's hoarse voice rang in my ears. "Lord Madara only needs information."

Your Sharingan gleamed faintly in the mist, the three tomoe slowly rotating. "I understand." The reply was brief and indifferent, as if saying another word would be a waste.

You silently passed through the weak point in the barrier surrounding Kirigakure, and just as you entered the village, you suddenly stopped. "I'm going to scout the eastern district."

Black Zetsu turned his head, his pale eyes scrutinizing you. "The plan is to go to the Mizukage's office building first."

"It's too conspicuous. I'll go gather intelligence first, and we'll meet up again tonight."

Before Black Zetsu could respond, you had already turned and disappeared into the thick fog. Black Zetsu watched your departing figure, his brows furrowing slightly. This girl has become increasingly difficult to control lately.

However, it has an even more important task to complete right now.

You formed a simple hand seal, your body twisted and changed, and in the blink of an eye you became an ordinary woman from Kirigakure, of medium build, with an unremarkable face that could easily blend into a crowd.

"Chakra...powerful chakra..." you murmured to yourself, your Sharingan still keenly searching through the disguise of the Transformation Technique.

Walking through the village streets and alleys, she was like a harmless breeze; no one would give a second glance to a village woman returning from grocery shopping.

The buildings in Kirigakure are gloomy and oppressive, with towering walls casting long shadows.

Your fingertips lightly brush against the damp wall, feeling the faint flow of chakra within. The chakra of the Three-Tails Jinchuriki is like a torch in the dark; it cannot be completely hidden.

You stand outside a secluded courtyard. On the surface, it looks like just an ordinary house in Kirigakure, but your Sharingan has already seen through the disguise.

A complex sealing technique was hidden beneath the wall, and a faint smell of blood permeated the air.

"Found it." A red glint flashed in your eyes. You waited patiently until the patrolling Kirigakure ninja changed shifts.

The mere thirty seconds was enough for you to slip into the courtyard and easily avoid several hidden traps.

The entrance to the basement was sealed off by a heavy iron door covered with sealing symbols. Your fingers traced complex trajectories in the air as your Sharingan precisely replicated an ancient seal that Madara had once broken.

The iron gate slid open silently, just enough for you to squeeze through sideways.

The damp, foul-smelling air hit you in the face, and you wrinkled your nose, but your steps did not falter in the slightest.

At the end of the corridor was a dimly lit cell, the only source of light coming from a dying oil lamp on the wall.

In the corner of the cell, in an iron cage, huddled a small, thin figure. She was a girl of about thirteen or fourteen, with her brown hair disheveled and her wrists and ankles clad in specially made chakra-suppressing shackles.

Hearing footsteps, the girl looked up in terror, revealing a pale face and a pair of brown eyes filled with fear.

Your breath caught almost imperceptibly for a moment. You crouched down, meeting the girl's gaze at him in the iron cage, and your voice was unexpectedly gentle, "Are you Lin?"

A hint of confusion flashed in Nohara Rin's eyes as she carefully examined the stranger before her. People from Kirigakure wouldn't speak in this tone, nor would they know her name.

Strangely, Lin didn't sense the malice or greed usually found in the eyes of the ninjas who guarded her, from this strange woman's gaze.

"Yes...yes." Lin's voice was a little hoarse from not speaking for a long time. "Who are you?"

You didn't answer immediately. Your Sharingan quickly scanned Rin's entire body, revealing malnutrition, multiple bruises, and chakra suppressed to its limit.

This girl was like a candle flickering in the wind, ready to be extinguished at any moment.

“A… friend,” you finally said, the word sounding strangely unfamiliar coming from your mouth.

You gently touch the bars of the iron cage, your Sharingan analyzing the sealing techniques on them.

Tears suddenly welled up in Rin's eyes. "Was it...was Konoha who sent you? Where's Kakashi? Is he alright?" Questions flooded her like a burst dam, and her thin fingers gripped the railing tightly.

Your fingers slipped through the gaps in the iron bars and gently grasped Nohara Rin's cold hand.

That hand was pitifully thin, with the wrist bones protruding as if they were about to pierce the skin, and calluses on the palm from long-term gripping of kunai.

"Only I can save you now." Your voice pierced precisely into Lin's chaotic thoughts.

Your palms were surprisingly warm, a stark contrast to the perpetually cold air of Kirigakure.

Lin vaguely remembered that when she had a fever as a child, her mother held her hand in the same way.

Suddenly, a sharp pain came from her palm. Lin instinctively tried to pull her hand away, but you held it firmly.

She looked down and saw a strange talisman appear on her pale skin, emitting a faint chakra fluctuation.

The talisman vanished in the blink of an eye, as if it had never existed. Lin looked up in surprise and met your scarlet Sharingan eyes.

"Don't be afraid." You let go of her hand, a gentle smile playing on your lips. "This is just insurance."

Suddenly, hurried footsteps echoed from the end of the corridor. The sound of metal boots striking the stone slabs was particularly jarring in the enclosed space. Your Sharingan turned toward the source of the sound; time was running out.

You took one last deep look at Lin, her black hair slipping down her shoulders, gleaming with a dark red luster in the dim light of the oil lamp.

"Don't tell anyone that you've seen me."

Lin's throat tightened. This strange girl knew her name, could easily break through the thick defenses of the mist, and had even left a mysterious mark on her hand. Logically, she should be afraid and scream to warn her approaching companions.

But when she looks into your eyes, an inexplicable sense of trust wells up from the bottom of her heart, so strong that it almost surprises her.

It felt like suddenly seeing a bright light in the vast darkness, and instinctively wanting to get closer.

Lin nodded, her movements so subtle they were almost imperceptible.

A fleeting emotion, unreadable to Lin, flashed in your eyes. The next second, your figure vanished silently, like smoke scattered by the wind, leaving only the dim light of the oil lamp and Lin's rapid breathing in the cell.

Almost at the same moment, the iron gate was suddenly pushed open.

The familiar voice sent a shiver down Lin's spine. She turned her head and saw Kakashi with silver hair standing at the door, his only visible right eye wide open, the three tomoe in his Sharingan spinning wildly.

His headband was askew, and his uniform was stained with blood and dirt, clearly indicating that he had been through a fierce battle.

"Kakashi...kun?" Rin's voice trembled as she instinctively hid the hand you had touched behind her back.

Kakashi rushed to the iron cage in three quick steps, his fingers trembling as he gripped the bars.

"I'm late." His voice was hoarse beyond recognition.

The crisp sound of metal breaking was particularly jarring in the claustrophobic underground cell. Kakashi's White Fang short sword flashed like silver as the chains binding Nohara Rin snapped and shattered into several pieces, crashing onto the damp stone slab.

"Hold on tight." Kakashi's voice was very low, but he couldn't hide the trembling in it.

He knelt on one knee and carried the weak Lin on his back. The girl was as light as an autumn leaf, almost weightless.

Rin's arms wrapped weakly around Kakashi's neck, her breath brushing against his ear, as feeble as a candle flickering in the wind.

Just then, a jumble of footsteps and shouts suddenly came from above.

Kakashi's single pupil contracted sharply, alerting the guards of Kirigakure. Without hesitation, he rushed to the other end of the underground passage, his white fangs leaving a cold trail in the darkness.

The passage was winding and deep, and Kakashi calculated every step precisely to avoid puddles and pebbles that might make a sound.

Lin, who was on his back, suddenly coughed violently, and her body began to tremble unnaturally.

"Lin, hang in there, we'll be there soon—"

Kakashi's words came to an abrupt halt, and a cold and immense chakra suddenly erupted from Rin's frail body, like a flood bursting through a dam.

The power was so malevolent that the surrounding air began to distort and fluctuate, and the water droplets condensed on the stone wall instantly evaporated into white mist.

"No...don't..." Rin's voice became hoarse and unfamiliar, her nails unconsciously digging into Kakashi's shoulder. "Run!"

Kakashi whirled around and placed Rin in a relatively dry corner. The three tomoe in his Sharingan spun wildly, but he couldn't stop the terrifying changes happening before his eyes.

Rin's skin began to turn an unnatural dark red, and chakra formed a blood-red cloak around her as if it were a tangible substance. A tail made of pure energy was slowly taking shape behind her.

"Tailed beast transformation?!" Kakashi's heart nearly stopped.

The power of the Three-Tails is eroding Rin's consciousness. The girl's delicate face is distorted by pain, and her brown eyes are gradually replaced by a beastly red light.

At the end of the passage, the footsteps of the pursuers shrouded in mist grew ever closer.

Kakashi stood between Rin and the pursuers, his White Fang trembling not from fear, but from facing an inescapable dilemma: protect his out-of-control comrades, or stop the Three-Tails from rampaging and harming more people?

Kakashi's forehead was covered in cold sweat. Rin was completely enveloped in scarlet chakra. The first tail had fully formed, and the second was condensing.

The Three-Tails' roar came from her throat, a sound completely unlike that of a human.

"Rin! Wake up!" Kakashi tried to call out, but his voice was drowned out by the roar of chakra.

He gritted his teeth and formed hand seals, the light of Raikiri flashing in his palms, not for attack, but to stimulate Rin's nerves with Lightning Release, attempting to awaken her consciousness.

The Hidden Mist ninjas only arrived at the scene then. Ao, the leader, had just activated his Byakugan when he staggered backward in fright, shouting, "The Three-Tails has gone berserk! Activate the sealing team—"

Before he could finish speaking, a chakra tail swept across the area.

Seven Kirigakure Jonin instantly turned into a bloody firework, their broken bones and internal organs clattering against the damp wall.

"As expected, it still erupted..." The talisman you planted in Lin's body is now faintly burning. It's not an ordinary mark, but a special seal that can temporarily suppress the tailed beast's rampage, but the time is not yet right.

You formed a complex hand seal, and the talisman in Rin's palm suddenly lit up, forming an invisible chakra network that temporarily restrained the rampaging Three-Tails' power.

Lin's body suddenly stiffened, and she let out a shrill scream.

The Three-Tails' chakra cloak receded into her body like a receding tide, and she fell forward like a puppet with its strings cut.

Kakashi caught her with lightning speed and was shocked to find an unfamiliar talisman appearing in the girl's palm, emitting a faint Uchiha chakra fluctuation.

"This is...?"

There was no time to think. The pursuers had already turned the last corner, and the cold glint of kunai and shuriken flashed in the dim passage.

Kakashi scooped up the unconscious Rin, the light of his Lightning Blade illuminating the path ahead, "Lightning Release: Lightning Flash!"

A burst of silver light erupted, and Kakashi's figure flashed through the passage like lightning, instantly widening the distance between himself and his pursuers.

But he knew this was only a temporary respite, and Kirigakure would not easily give up on the Three-Tails Jinchuriki.

You watched them leave, your objective achieved: ensuring Rin's survival without excessively interfering with the Tsukuyomi's progress. Now, all you need to do is wait...

"Obito, you owe me a favor." You murmured to yourself, your figure slowly fading into the darkness.

In the fog-shrouded forest, Kakashi carried Rin and ran desperately. He didn't know how he had managed to escape, nor did he know where the talisman in Rin's palm came from.

But one thing he was very clear about was that this crisis concerning the Three-Tails had only just begun.

In a cave deeper underground, Obito Uchiha suddenly awoke from a nightmare, a tearing pain shooting through his right eye.

He had a vague feeling that something important was slipping away from him...

Chapter 93 Despair

White Zetsu suddenly appeared, "I just went outside. That Rin you mentioned and that idiot Kakashi are in bad shape!"

"What happened?!" Obito Uchiha immediately sat up.

"They were surrounded by Kirigakure ninjas all by themselves!" White Zetsu shouted back.

Obito immediately jumped off the bed and punched the stone door of the cave, but before he could recover, he fell to the ground.

"Your current body can't break rocks!" Bai Jue reminded him.

"I have to go save Rin and Kakashi!"

Upon hearing this, White Zetsu willingly possessed Obito's body, saying, "Wear my body."

"Aren't you Madara's subordinates? Is this alright?" Obito asked, though puzzled, he was very grateful to White Zetsu.

"thank you all."

With the White Zetsu possessing him and the power of the Gedo Mazo, Obito shattered the stone gate with a single punch.

"To be able to borrow the power of the Gedo Mazo while still connected to the root, that's quite impressive!" White Zetsu praised.

"Are you leaving?" Ban's lips curled up slightly.

Obito pulled the tubes from the Gedo Mazo attached to his body. "You saved me, and I'm very grateful, but I have to go. I absolutely have to go!"

"You're too hasty. It might be too early to thank me!" Madara continued.

"I don't think I'll be coming back. Anyway, I've thanked you and I'm leaving. As for Nagi, please tell her for me that we're still friends!" Obito turned around and took one last look at Madara.

"You... will definitely come back! Then I will accept your true gratitude." Madara's face became eerie in the darkness.

"I'll use this to guide you! Let's go outside first!" Bai Jue said, pointing in the direction.

"please."

Obito grabbed a black cloak and covered himself with it, asking anxiously, "How are Rin and Kakashi doing now?"

“According to my companions, it seems quite dangerous. They said something about experimental subjects from Kirigakure, but I don’t understand!” White Zetsu replied.

"Experimental subject?" Obito murmured, and then he quickly ran in the direction that White Zetsu had pointed out.

"In short, Rin and Kakashi were surrounded by dozens of people, and they were all powerful Jonin and Anbu."

This is the last thing White Zetsu left behind.
