Chapter 119 The Innocent Yet Alluring Little Cat Demon 26
Outside the tent, the evening breeze swept across the grass, swirling up a few fallen leaves dyed golden red by the setting sun.
It gently bumped against the tent fabric and then drifted away silently.
Two butterflies fluttered around the crabapple blossoms not far away, their gilded patterns on their wings shimmering in the twilight.
The butterfly landed on a petal and trembled gently. The crabapple petals swayed slightly at the butterfly's touch, and a few wisps of pale pink petals fell.
On the distant grassland, each tent is hosting its own cozy little drama.
Soft guitar music drifted from some tents, accompanied by softly sung folk songs. Occasionally, the evening breeze would carry the lyrics far away, reaching the ears of passing tourists and causing them to slow their pace.
Some tents were lit by warm yellow camping lights, casting silhouettes of families sitting together. Children held up sizzling chicken wings and chattered with their parents about the squirrels they had seen during the day.
"Mommy, look! There are two butterflies on the flower!"
"yes!"
"Mommy! What are the butterflies doing?"
"The butterflies are spreading pollen!"
"Oh, Mom, how do you write this word?" the child asked, holding up a flashcard.
"It's just a stroke and a dot below the mouth radical," the mother said, holding her child's hand as she wrote on the whiteboard, stroke by stroke.
"Then how do you write this?" the child asked, pointing to another flashcard.
"Chang, this is still a bit difficult for you."
The child blinked, seemingly understanding but not quite. "Okay, do I need to learn a few more words before I can go out to play?"
She picked up a strawberry and popped it into the child's mouth, smiling as she said, "No need to learn any words today, just focus on watching the shooting stars. We'll continue tomorrow."
"meteor!"
A crisp exclamation came from afar, instantly breaking the tranquility of the camp.
Upon hearing this shout, Liu Yunshu's eyes lit up, and she struggled to lean out of the tent: "I want to see a shooting star!"
Mo Chengyuan tightened his grip, preventing her from fully rising, and simply reached out to lift a corner of the tent.
A cool evening breeze rushed in, carrying the scent of grass and diluting the rich fragrance inside.
Liu Yunshu leaned half her body against his chest, her legs draped over Mo Chengyan's legs, and looked up at the suddenly brightened night sky.
Against the dark blue sky, a streak of silver light trailed a long tail, like someone had accidentally knocked over a box containing diamond fragments, before disappearing into the darkness in an instant.
Liu Yunshu looked up at the shooting star, while Mo Chengyan and Mo Chengyuan looked down at her.
Both of them wore gentle smiles. They were twins, and even the doting look in their eyes was exactly the same.
Xiao Ba: 1+1>2!
She was holding her breath, staring at the night sky, her hands clasped together against her chest, and whispering, "I hope that every day from now on I can watch the stars with A-Yuan and A-Yan, and eat Zhang Ma's cooking..."
Zhang Ma: Madam~ My confidante~ Don't worry! I will definitely give the Second Young Master a good boost!
Mo Chengyan: ...
Before he could finish speaking, another shooting star streaked across the night sky, leaving a bright silver trail.
Liu Yunshu excitedly clutched Mo Chengyuan's clothes, forgetting to finish her wish, and exclaimed with bright eyes, "Another one! A-Yuan, look! A-Yan, look up!"
Mo Chengyan looked up as she spoke, his fingertips still gently caressing the delicate skin of her ankle, his voice still carrying the lingering hoarseness: "I saw it, not as pretty as you."
As he spoke, he lowered his head and planted a light kiss on her forehead, causing Liu Yunshu to shrink back and hide in Mo Chengyuan's arms.
Mo Chengyuan pulled her closer, his chin resting lightly on the top of her head.
Her gaze swept over Mo Chengyan with a hint of barely perceptible rivalry, yet she still gently said, following Liu Yunshu's wishes, "Don't rush, there are many shooting stars tonight, take your time to watch."
He reached over and picked up the flask of hot wine from the stove, poured half a glass, and held it to her lips. "Have a sip of something warm first, the wind will chill you."
Liu Yunshu obediently opened her mouth, and the warm red wine slid down her throat, carrying the sweet aroma of cinnamon and orange. The warm aroma instantly diluted the taste in her mouth.
"Why don't you make a wish?"
"My wish is already here."
Mo Chengyuan reached out and pulled her into his arms, lowered his head and placed a light kiss on her lips, his voice so gentle it could melt water.
Mo Chengyan then reached out and gently hooked her fingertip with his, his tone carrying a hint of coquetry: "My wish is the same as his."
Liu Yunshu's heart raced at their words, but she still responded frankly, "Me too! Having you two here is better than any wish."
A soft, warm smile, like freshly brewed mulled wine, wafted in the evening breeze.
"What Yunshu said made my heart race. You can touch it if you don't believe me."
As he spoke, he took her hand and pressed it against his chest, where his heart was beating fast and heavy.
Through the thin fabric, it kept hitting her palm, making her breath catch in her throat.
Mo Chengyuan was not to be outdone. He put his other arm around her waist and pulled her closer to his chest, so that her cheek was pressed against his chest.
A steady, powerful heartbeat emanated from my chest, transmitted through my warm skin.
It created a wonderful echo with the rapid rhythm on Mo Chengyan's side, like two drums beating at the same time, making her fingertips tingle.
Don't listen to him.
Mo Chengyuan lowered his head and kissed the end of her hair, his voice slightly intoxicated by the mulled wine, "My heartbeat is the most steady for you."
Their eyes met briefly in the air, without a word, yet a jolt of electricity seemed to run through them.
Mo Chengyuan's eyes held a tender possessiveness, while Mo Chengyan's eyes concealed a burning desire to not be outdone.
Ultimately, the beams of light fell back on Liu Yunshu, like two spotlights, firmly fixed on her flushed cheeks.
Just then, another shooting star streaked across the night sky, this time with an even longer trail of light.
Outside the tent, the two butterflies that had been perched on the crabapple blossoms finally took flight.
The gilded wings drew two thin streaks of light in the night, circled the tent twice, and then slowly flew into the depths of the starry sky.
The sounds of children's laughter and guitar melodies could still be heard intermittently in the distance, but they had become background noise.
Only the remaining liquid in the mulled wine jug remained in the tent, occasionally sizzling softly on the small stove.

The three returned to the villa the following afternoon.
As soon as the car turned into the familiar tree-lined road, Liu Yunshu leaned against the car window, looking at the familiar figure at the entrance of the villa in the distance.
"It's Aunt Zhang! She seems to be waiting for us!"
Mo Chengyuan slowed down the car and came to a complete stop.
Aunt Zhang quickly walked over, her gaze first falling on Liu Yunshu, noticing her rosy complexion and smiling eyes.
He glanced at the Mo brothers again, a hint of understanding in his eyes, and said with a smile:
"Madam, young masters, you're finally back! I've made some white fungus and lotus seed soup, it's just been kept warm on the stove, come in and have some!"
As soon as Liu Yunshu jumped out of the car, Zhang Ma grabbed her arm and pulled her into the house, muttering to herself:
"Is it chilly at the campsite at night? I see your wife is dressed lightly; next time we should bring an extra jacket..."
Mo Chengyan and Mo Chengyuan followed behind, simultaneously recalling the absurdity of the previous night.
The two exchanged a glance, both seeing a hint of guilty amusement in each other's eyes.
As soon as I entered the living room, Zhang Ma came out of the kitchen carrying three bowls of white fungus soup.
The lotus seeds in the porcelain bowl were stewed until they were soft and tender, the white fungus was cooked until it had a crystal-clear gelatinous texture, and a handful of fine osmanthus flowers were sprinkled on top, instantly filling the room with a sweet aroma.
She first handed the bowl to Liu Yunshu, and then served one to each of the Mo brothers, Mo Chengyuan and Mo Chengyuan.
His eyes swept over the two of them, and he said with a smile, "The second young master looks much better this morning. It seems that the soup he drank was worth it. The eldest young master also has a rosy complexion. It seems that the air in the camp is good for people."
Mo Chengyan had just scooped up a spoonful of soup and brought it to his lips when he heard these words and his hand suddenly stopped.
She almost spilled the sugar water and could only mumble a reply: "Hmm, it's alright."
Liu Yunshu held the bowl and sipped the soup, her eyes sparkling as she said, "Aunt Zhang, your soup is so delicious! It's even sweeter than the mulled wine at the camp!"
Aunt Zhang smiled so much that wrinkles appeared at the corners of her eyes, and reached out to wipe the sugar stains from the corner of her mouth.
"I'm glad you like it, Madam. There's still some left in the pot. By the way, I went to the market this morning and saw some fresh black-boned chicken. I was thinking that the Second Young Master needs some nourishment, so I'll make you a black-boned chicken soup tonight, with some yam and angelica root to help him recover."
"Zhang Ma!" Mo Chengyan suddenly looked up, his ear tips so red they could bleed. "I really don't need any more treatment!"
Mo Chengyuan coughed lightly, his fist near his mouth. "Zhang Ma, Yun Shu caught a chill last night. When you stew the black chicken soup tonight, add more ginger slices to ward off the cold. She's been preferring light flavors lately, so add less angelica and other herbs."
These words not only cleverly extricated Mo Chengyan from the predicament but also shifted the topic to Liu Yunshu.
Upon hearing this, Liu Yunshu looked up and nodded obediently: "I'll listen to A Yuan, adding ginger slices is good. It was indeed a bit cold when we were watching the shooting stars last night."
Zhang Ma's eyes lit up, and she immediately agreed, "Young Master is so thoughtful! Don't worry, I'll remember that, I guarantee it will be cooked to Madam's liking!"
As she spoke, she glanced at Mo Chengyan again, a hint of regret flashing in her eyes.
This left Mo Chengyan speechless, as he could only drink his soup in silence.
